What Are You Creating?

Hello friends… by which I mean, anyone reading this!

I have a simple question for you and I’m hoping you will be brave enough to write your own brief answer in the comments below.

Now before you turn away, and think - he’s not talking to me… or I don’t have anything to say… know this. We all feel this way. Most of us don’t want to go first when asked to share something.

The thing is, I AM talking to you, and I know you could share something, and we’d all love it! (Especially me—You have no idea how encouraging it is when people interact in the comments!)

But more importantly, we simply all benefit by hearing about each other’s diverse creativity. So, how about we actually share!

Again, It’s a simple question… here we go…

What are you creating?

Maybe something comes to mind right away, but maybe instead you think, “I’m not creating anything.” If that’s you, try and get a little creative in your thinking about your life. You might surprise yourself as you realize “oh yeah, I AM creating something!”

If you’re having trouble, here are some examples of how you might answer (based on people I actually know):

1. I’m writing a book

2. I’m making stained-glass

3. I’m running a motel (making a beautiful hospitable environment)

4. I’m cooking up a storm

5. I’m gardening or already planning my garden for springtime

6. I’m writing liturgy for a faith community

7. I’m redecorating

8. I’m designing a new training module for work

9. I’m learning to be a parent to a toddler (creating a healthy home)

10. I’m leading a community organization

11. I’m hosting an open-mic night

12. I’m making music, playing guitar, playing piano, singing, teaching music

13. I’m making lesson plans for my teaching job

14. I’m acting in a play

15. I’m building a new friendship or relationship

16. I’m writing poetry

17. I’m painting

18. I’m making a podcast

19. I’m knitting / quilting / sewing

20. I’m putting together a family history

21. I’m making short videos

22. I’m creating a community of love and safety at a camp

And, I could go on and on.
